# DASF-68 — Use Securely Hosted Managed MCP Servers

Source: [official compendium, Databricks AI Mitigation Controls, row 70](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1lD5nKC1QNoUTDXdMp31NA9eKcUYGjhtC34MCfQpqpGo/edit#gid=780486953&range=A70:AB70). Snapshot: 2026-10-22; source revision: DASF v 3.0.

## Intent and implementation

Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers act as bridges that let AI agents access external data and tools. Instead of building these connections from scratch, you can use securely hosted Databricks managed MCP servers to instantly connect your agents to data stored in Unity Catalog, vector search indexes, and custom functions.

## Verification

Project adaptation: **get_control** returns a concrete evidence request, a proposed test, and an acceptance condition. A control description or product feature is not evidence of deployment or effectiveness.
